Aquatic Adventures Scuba & Swim, LLC was created from a dream of sharing our love of the aquatic world with you. Our names are Mike & Tracy Wynn. We moved to Pueblo West in the summer of 2005 from the western slope of Colorado, to be closer to our grown children, and to pursue our dream of one day opening a scuba dive shop. Pueblo County at that time had not had a dive shop for a few years, so it seemed like the right time to start one.
ABOUT US
So, we set about starting a small home-based business teaching scuba and swimming. Tracy became a PADI Instructor and a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor in early 2006, and Mike became a PADI Divemaster, and so we opened for business that summer teaching both scuba and private swimming lessons.
Since that time, we have grown; in family, wisdom, character, and business! Our grandchildren went from one when we moved here in 2005, to grandchild number six due in January, 2012! Our four grandsons and one granddaughter have kept us busy and been the joy of our lives!
We have learned a lot about the dive industry during these years as well. We had a retail store front from 2007-2009, but moved it all back to the home front by the spring of 2009 to survive the economy crash! We enclosed our once-outdoor pool that summer, and in 2010, added group swimming lessons to our business.
We began supporting the Project A.W.A.R.E. Foundation by organizing and participating in the International Cleanup Day in September, from 2008-2010, at Lake Pueblo State Park, and included an Earth Day cleanup at the lake in April, 2010.
We hope to continue supporting our community with their scuba diving and swimming needs for years to come!
